looking back on the beginning of the year. a lot of things have changed. but that is to be expected. first of all, there is my self. then, there are my friends.

coming to western, i wouldn't say i was weak in my faith, but i wasn't exactly great in terms of action. i mean, i served at my home church and got involved with HS fellowship, but i didn't believe that things were going great. i mean, i was going through rough times, and i wasn't in a positive mindset, i didn't blame God, but i didn't thank Him for much either. then i came here, and everyone at ACF (or at least the upper years i saw most often) were so into it. their relationships seemed so strong, and they fully believed with all their hearts. it was their life, not just a portion, but every day, every moment, every breath. thankful and forgiven. it was an overwhelm. leading to my much-needed breakdown at Retreat. i love Christina. =)

over the months here, I've worried about several people back home. one of them, our relationship is getting better, especially in comparison to how it was in the past two years. we are on very good grounds. and another, we had wonderful times last year, then we miscommunicated and things didnt turn out so great. i worried about his well-being and how he was living life... how he didn't care that he was drifting, because it was easier than working at it, and it was more comfortable than following the rules. i was always under the assumption that he'd been continuing this behaviour for the months since school started. but monday, i learned otherwise. and it was such a comfort. not only knowing that he's quit, and he feels purer.. but i can see his faith has strengthened.. and i love him so much. despite all the crap we've put each other through, i would never give him up. ever.

so many new friendships too. here at western. especially ACF people... i mean there are the nonACF people, but i tend to still set a distance between us, because their behaviour doesn't fully agree with what i believe. but they're still good people, for the most part. HKC people are pretty cool, but then again, most of them are ACF or have ACF affiliation...

on another note, i need more western gear. and i'd like it if my hair would grow back soon.
