- Finished my assignment
- Woke up with time to spare to get to class, after sleeping at 3 am
- THERE IS SNOW OUTSIDE!!
- It is pretty and white
- Dressed warmly so the snow was still "pretty" and not "cold"
- Got on a bus, didn't have to wait too long
- Got to class a little late, but got chocolate!!!
- UWO calls a Snow Day
- classes are cancelled :D
it's something i struggle with everyday. reaching the point of being able to let go, and fully trust that my life is in His hands. it's a journey i must adventure each day, starting from the bottom up. i frequently forget that this life is not my own; and i constantly learn that each day is a gift, and He can give, and take away.

new found hope
I think I'm pretty excited for class/school this year. I was walking from the gym earlier, and I had a feeling of optimism, This is going to be a good year. On the way home from the bus stop, I was thinking about how this is an opportunity to re-discover myself and grow outside of the shelter of ACF. Living in a house where all of us are just thrown together, it's been pretty cool that we mostly get along and talk occasionally. In the past two weeks alone, I think I met more people outside of ACF than in the three years living at Summit. Having lived with people I was comfortable with prior to moving in with them, I had no need to venture out. Even now, I still know ACF people who live in Summit, but I'm also being given opportunities to meet people who are neighbours, not by choice, but by God.
Being "on my own" is really pushing me to "get out there" and "take charge" of my life, in the sense that I can't just expect things to happen a certain way anymore. It's kind of like a preparation for "real life" and what's to come upon graduation. Honestly, I'm still not sure what is going to happen in May; I have an idea that I'll continue to work at the mall until I find a "solid job" related to my field of study. But realistically, who knows how long that'll take. And, I mean, no rush, but in the mean time, what am I going to do about housing? Am I going to continue renting a place in London until I find my career? Will I move home and transfer, or start something completely new? You think that you have your life planned out enough to give you an outline of where to go, but there are so many other questions that have been left unanswered.
In the past two days of class, I've had classes conducted purely in French. I thought it would be a struggle, especially after not having spoken it in so long, or been exposed to it. Surprisingly, I was very comfortable and actually eager to participate in those classes. It reminds me of the feeling of being in Montreal. Now, I don't know if it's because it's a passion re-visited, or simply a change of pace, but I'm starting to really like the idea of transitioning to francophonism.
There's a free concert on Concrete Beach tonight; K-OS. Was thinking about visiting it for a bit. I feel like I'm living up 1st year all over again. Taking the chances I was afraid would shape me for the worst. Maybe then when I was insecure and lost, it was the safer choice.
Praise be to Him who seeks and saves the lost

ahh l'anglosisme

i believe in miracles
so when I hear the word "miracle" I think about the Old Testament times, and Jesus making the lame man walk, or raising the dead. When I think of "modern day miracle", I think of broken legs being healed, arthritic pain disappearing. I realize that all these are physical things. Even though we constantly hear about how Jesus can renew us, that through Him we find life, I've overlooked for so long, how someone's soul can be healed.
Last night, I was reminded of how perseverance pays off, but most importantly, I was reminded of how God works at His own pace and that only He can see the bigger picture.
so keep truckin' on
keep fighting the fight
cuz it's worth it

i wouldn't call it agony
but it's still a pretty overwhelming feeling to have to deal with.
this burden is just too crazy. having it thrown on me out of the blue, without really any guidance as to how to go about it. just expectance that it will be carried through.
how am i supposed to deal with this tomorrow? will i be able to remain composed and calm? logical? remember what i want to tell him. but is it really what i want to tell him/ know to tell him/ what i was told to tell him. what do i really think about this? I think i've retreated into my "if I don't acknowledge it, it'll go away". but I know it won't and that is why i am screwed.
so many opinions and they all make sense. but what do i believe? why can't i think about this for myself? form my own opinion? because i am too afraid to face the truth. the last time this happened, it turned out alright.... but i really don't want to deal with this.....
i never want to deal with "This".

hate is a strong word...
i am quite annoyed by you.
you hold the expectations for everyone, but you have nothing to show that hold yourself to these same standards.
you blame everyone else, for what you cannot yet do. you say that you can do nothing until someone else acts first. and yet you blame us for things we have not yet done as we await your move.
you speak of saving souls and bearing the light, yet throw yourself into a pit of darkness.
i will probably never speak to you of this.
maybe one day... but not right now.

TIM BE TOLD
This is a pretty awesome Christian band from the States. They're currently offering a free download of their song "Analyze" from their newest album. Check them out. Enjoy :)
