i watched the matrix today.
Enoch's post reminded me of the dreaming that is mentioned in the film. it talks about "being set free into the real world" and that it really isn't as glamorous as the world that we have become submerged in. we accept the world that the matrix has woven around us because we are ignorant, because we are not ready to be set free. but once you are set free, they something like "after the mind has reached a certain age, you cannot turn back. it is too dangerous". again, what does this have to do with anything? The Oracle tells Neo something (and it contradicts what The Oracle has told everybody else, or so it seems at the moment in time), but later it is explained "The Oracle told you what you needed to hear." Basically, you have a choice. Whose life are you going to sacrifice? Yours or his? However in our case, that choice has already been. A life has already been sacrificed and it is not ours. So our choice becomes: What are you going to do with that freedom?
Hopefully that actually makes sense. Cuz it did when I was typing but after I finished typing, I wasn't so sure it was accurate.
