it's something i struggle with everyday. reaching the point of being able to let go, and fully trust that my life is in His hands. it's a journey i must adventure each day, starting from the bottom up. i frequently forget that this life is not my own; and i constantly learn that each day is a gift, and He can give, and take away.
is it totally unjustified to want to fall so far, just so i can be lifted up and appreciate it?

oh yea, that's an interesting principle for some people to be using. Kinda like making yourself hurt so much, so that later on when you feel good it is substantial. Using fluctuations in mood and feelings to have overcompensating response.
Personally, I prefer to create moderation as a way to avoid extreme movements. That might necessitate more extremes in the future. But then, life gets pretty boring and when that happens, it kinda backfires with more extreme reactions every now and then.
